Some responses

“I know these kids, and for you guys to bring the third graders to that level, it was very surprising.  Some of these kids are very isolated, and for me to see them engage, picking up the pace, doing things the other kids are doing… wow”

“My daughter has never been so confident in front of other people, I am so proud.”
“Ginny comes home practicing her dance and singing about trust.  She tells me every day about Miss Chelsea and dance. The kids adore you guys.”

Along with the parents pride and student’s sense of confidence, Mrs. Joselyn Perez, a councilor and tutor pointed out,” it’s great that the kids are getting exposed to this. At home they aren’t exposed to different types of art. The parents are working all of the time and they are never really hands on with the kids.  But MOSAIC allowed the kids a chance to participate together in different activities. You’re interactive, and these kids need examples of working as a team.”

Mrs. Talia, a teacher at the Morristown Neighborhood House for the past twelve years explains another issue in education, “They are cutting arts everywhere, in the schools they don’t get it like they used to. It’s a shame, the arts are a way to get these kids to express themselves, and they wouldn’t get this opportunity if you guys didn’t come. The students really enjoyed the three elements of the arts and the performance. I bet if they were given the opportunity to do something artsy, now, they would, thanks to you guys. And I can already tell the lessons that these students have learned in the past week and a half will definitely carry on after you are gone. Preschool all the way up to high school would benefit from this experience one hundred percent.”
